The exo protection is a specific gum limiting punctures.
WARNING : Exception Version Series is a high range version of the tire model in 120TPI, which makes it lighter, more flexible so more efficient on the ground.
There is also a little less resistant to puncture.
It is easily recognizable by its silkscreen “Exception Series” on sidewalls AND/OR 120tpi mention molded into the rubber on one side.
