The radical new look and design of the X-SYNC 2 Eagle chainring is a direct result of studies conducted by SRAM’s transmission engineers into the performance and wear characteristics of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. We subjected all chainring sizes to countless environmental and mechanical torture, mistreatment and neglect, both in the lab and in real life, before arriving at a chainring that could increase the performance of the Eagle drivetrain in all conditions. The specific tooth shape has been designed to perfectly match the new Eagle chain, to increase chain retention and overall pedaling efficiency, while reducing friction, noise and wear.
