Wolf Tooth 96 BCD Drop-Stop A 1X chainring designed for the new Shimano XT, SLX or Deore cranksets. It features Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop-Stop design for optimal chain life, retention and mud clearance.

• Drop-Stop Technology: On Wolf Tooth’s patented Narrow Wide chainrings, the Wide side of the tooth has maximum contact with the drive side, which distributes the load and improves chainring life. The Narrow side provides clearance for mud and debris, reducing friction.
• Alternating wide/narrow teeth prevent chain derailment.

Compatibility

• Compatible with 96 mm center distance cranksets (96 BCD).
• Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow Drop-Stop tooth profile for ultimate chain retention and mud removal capability.
• Holes require 10mm long screws. If using a chainring guard.
• Compatible with 1×9, 1×10, 1×11 and 1×12 speed transmissions.
• If you are using a 9-speed transmission, use a 10-speed chain (it moves and works well on a 9-speed transmission and is more snug, for better chain retention).
• Available in two different tooth profiles for optimal performance with your chain type. Use Drop-Stop ST for use with Shimano HyperGlide+ 12-speed chains. Use Drop-Stop A for all 9, 10 and 11 speed chains or Sram Eagle, KMC, Connex or Wippermann 12 speed chains.
• Not compatible with Sram Flattop 12v, Shimano HyperGlide+ 12v or Campagnolo 12v.

Recommendations

• If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, the brand recommends using a chain guide in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you risk chain jumping and/or derailing.
